Coach Ronald Koeman lauded his team’s comeback effort on Wednesday but discounted the talk of a second comeback. Ronald Koeman has put an end to talk of Barcelona repeating their epic Copa del Rey revival as they face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
After overcoming a 2-0 first-leg deficit, Barca stunned Sevilla 3-0 in extra time at Camp Nou on Wednesday to progress to the Copa del Rey final.\
“2-0 makes it easier for a comeback, even if it isn’t easy. But 4-1 is still something else. So they have a great team with great players, so we’re going to start the game with the goal of winning, and then see if there’s a chance to go ahead during the game. If not, we’ll have to consider it and continue on our current route,” Barca head coach Koeman told reporters after the game, according to Goal.
