According to AS, new Barcelona president Joan Laporta has assembled a six-man shortlist of the club’s summer goals. There are three Premier League stars on the roster, two from the Bundesliga, and one from Ligue 1.
Laporta was just elected president of Barcelona last week, but he has already gotten down to business, having secured the €125 million bank guarantees needed to officially make him Barcelona’s president. According to rumors, he has assembled a list of six players that Barcelona will look to sign in the summer.
Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia, Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum, Bayern Munich’s David Alaba, Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, and Lyon’s Memphis Delay are all on the list.
Eric Garcia’s deal at Manchester City expires this summer, and according to several sources, the 20-year-old will not renew his stay because he intends to play for Barcelona next summer.
Fabrizio Romano, a well-known Italian journalist, has also reported that Garcia’s transfer to Barcelona is almost complete.
Sergio Aguero and Gini Wijnaldum, like Garcia, will see their terms with their respective clubs expire in the summer. The Argentine striker has been linked with a move to Barcelona, probably as a way to encourage countryman Lionel Messi to stay at the club. Wijnaldum, on the other hand, has been linked with a reunion with former national team boss Ronald Koeman.
David Alaba has announced that he will leave Bayern Munich at the end of his deal in the summer. After being linked to Real Madrid, the Austrian is now more interested in a move to Barcelona.
