Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson worries that the groin injury he picked up in the recent 2-0 defeat to Everton would keep him on the sidelines for some weeks.

Henderson lasted just 29 minutes of the game before going down as a center back for the sixth game in a row with the injury – the fourth time the England international has picked up a problem this season.

After the game, Klopp described Henderson’s predicament as ‘not good’ and those concerns were confirmed by The Times, which noted that initial scans had already effectively ruled him out of the Champions League last 16 – the second leg on 10 March against RB Leipzig.

Henderson is also worried that he could be out for much longer and that his place in the England squad of Gareth Southgate for the World Cup qualifiers at the end of March may be in question.
