Liverpool’s 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Anfield Stadium on Wednesday has helped them inch closer to winning the Premier League championship.
The side now has 86 points from 31 matches with this victory, and the club only needs two more points to claim the championship.
Trent Alexander-Arnold opened the scoring for Liverpool in the match against Crystal Palace when he registered a goal in the match’s 23rd minute. Twenty minutes later, Egyptian Mohamed Salah stepped into the act to double the Reds lead.
With that score, at Anfield Stadium, Salah registered his 15th goal this season. At 2-0 ahead, Liverpool went into the half.
Crystal Palace failed to maintain ball ownership throughout the match and this allowed Liverpool to take control of the match.
Fabinho and Sadio Mane also got goal-scoring charts in the second half as the duo scored goals respectively in the 55th and 59th minute of the match.
Any more goals have been scored in the match but Liverpool has gone away with an overall win. The second-placed Manchester City will be in action against Chelsea later today.
