According to sources, Manchester United is keen on a push this summer for in-form Lazio ace Ciro Immobile.
The 30-year-old is in the midst of a multi-front prolific run, scoring 30 goals in 33 Series A, Coppa Italia, Europa League, and Italian Supercup games.
And his accomplishments before the goal have not gone unnoticed, with Calciomercato reporting that Old Trafford chiefs are watching a possible swoop over the coming months.
In the Italian top flight, Immobile is even on track to set a new record of goals, having netted 27 times in the league alone, and he was also linked to both Liverpool and Napoli.
The frontman would be reuniting at Anfield with his former Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp and Napoli is also considering a move because it is the home town club of Immobile.
However, as suggested in the same report, it is unlikely that Immobile will now leave Lazio on the verge of clinching Champions League qualification with the Serie A giants.
He ‘s understood to have confirmed his willingness to stay for the foreseeable future in the Italian capital.
Italy International still stays on its terms for three years, and Lazio is predictably eager to maintain its precious possession.
Last summer, Romelu Lukaku’s United Sale to Inter Milan officially means the club is aggressively searching for another striker in the upcoming transfer window, with Immobile on their shortlist.
But no talks have begun for what could prove to be a tricky deal given their possible interest.
