Manchester United have reportedly paused plans to give Mason Greenwood a new contract following concerns about the youngster’s behavior off the pitch.

Indeed, The Athletic argues that the United Chiefs are concerned that Greenwood is not taking the best care of his wellbeing off the pitch-with concerns that the teenager is sleep-deprived-and the Red Devils are hesitant to give him a new deal at this moment in time.

The article also reveals that Southgate was phoned by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer telling England’s manager that he did not want Greenwood to be picked for this international match round, and United claims that the 19-year-old does not follow the rules of restricting communication outside of his social bubble.

Greenwood did not play a role in United’s 3-1 victory over Everton, and the Englishman has yet to get off the mark in the new Premier League campaign.
