Roberto Mancini is optimistic that Manuel Locatelli will shine on his Senior Italian debut and describes Jorginho ‘s value against the Netherlands.

The League of Nations match kicks off at 19.45 (18.45 GMT) UK time.

“When you win 11 in a row, the problem is that it’s seen as a loss when there’s a draw,” Mancini told Rai Sport after a 1-1 result with Bosnia and Herzegovina Friday.

“We’ve had a good game against Bosnia, and we’re going to try and win tonight as well. You can’t win all of them in football, you can just do your best and go for the win.”

Sassuolo midfielder Locatelli is making his Senior Italy debut with returning Nicolò Barella and Jorginho in the starting XI.

“Locatelli has been playing in Series A for many years, so I don’t think he’ll have any issues. Jorginho is important to us because he controls the pace and knows exactly when to call the press, so he’s making a huge difference.”

Ciro Immobile starts for the first time since winning the Golden European Shoe as top scorer in the football team. What does Mancini expect of the Lazio striker?

“I hope he scored some goals!”
