Brescia President Massimo Cellino will sell Sandro Tonali ‘keep the word,’ but admits he shares the 50-50 blame with Mario Balotelli’s flop.

The Rondinella is already mathematically relegated after a completely chaotic campaign that saw coach Eugenio Corini fired, recalled after Fabio Grosso lost every game, and then sacked again to make room for Diego López.

“I’m distracted, believe me,” proprietor Cellino told the newspaper, Corriere di Brescia.

“It was a team built on excitement for its Serie B promotion, and I confess I didn’t protect the alchemy enough, so it was destroyed. I was chasing a star in the sky and taking my mind off the team that had the potential to escape relegation even without Balotelli. He was wrong, I was wrong, we divided the blame 50-50. I figured he might support me, but I think we both had unrealistic expectations.

“I made a promise to Sandro and I intend to keep that,” Cellino concluded.
