Mauricio Pochettino defended Kylian Mbappe following his underwhelming showing in a shock defeat at the hands of Monaco. Head coach Mauricio Pochettino of Paris Saint-Germain maintained that Kylian Mbappe’s below-par effort was not solely to blame for Sunday’s 2-0 defeat against Monaco.
However, Pochettino leaped to the defense of Mbappe, who continues to be associated with the champions of the Real Madrid LaLiga.
“Today, it’s not only Kylian but the whole team that hasn’t been at the level. That didn’t explain what it takes to win. But, as I said, the manager is the first person responsible and I take responsibility for it. When you lose, the first person responsible is the manager and I fully assume it.”
