Mohamed Salah has been named the Standard Chartered Men’s Player of the Month for February by Liverpool. In the most recent fan vote, the Egyptian beat out Curtis Jones and Trent Alexander-Arnold to win the trophy for the third time in a row.

Salah started all six of the Reds’ February games and scored three times, bringing his season total to a team-high 24. He converted a penalty against Manchester City at Anfield before winning with a magnificent finish away at Leicester City.

The No.11 then scored the game-winning goal in the first leg of Liverpool’s Champions League last-16 clash against RB Leipzig.

Salah told Liverpoolfc.com after receiving the award at the AXA Training Centre: “It’s a good feeling to win it again. It’s a nice feeling, and I’m pleased with our recent performances, so hopefully, we can keep winning. It’s been difficult for all of us because of the situation we’ve been in and our place in the Premier League, but I think things will improve. We’re playing well in the Champions League.

I don’t like to just worry about my season because we play as a team, so I’d say it’s been a difficult season for both of us and we’re just getting through it. I don’t want to worry about my season because we play as a team, but I’d say it’s been a difficult season for both of us, and we just need to keep on and try and win games.

I just wanted to thank everyone who voted for me. We’re going to give it all we’ve got to win the next few games, and hopefully, we’ll do well in the Champions League as well.”
