Against Atalanta BC, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting became the unlikely hero in stoppage time for Paris Saint-Germain, who scored the game-winning goal.
The United States international Tyler Adams became their hero for RB Leipzig after coming on at the 72-minute mark as a substitute. The 21-year-old then scored the eventual game-winner 16 minutes later that would put the German club in the semi-finals.
Adams spoke to the media postgame about facing Les Parisiens, where he relayed his words to NBC Sports.
“We are excited. We know Paris is a fantastic team, we have seen what they did yesterday against Atalanta and they have very good players, “Adams said.
“Now it is about recovering in the right way, mentally getting right and working on the game plan. We have confidence in ourselves, you have seen this today.”
