Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho’s future at the club is unlikely to be determined before May.
Tottenham head Daniel Levy needs to wait until the end of the season before settling on the Portuguese specialist’s future.
According to ESPN, Mourinho’s sacking would cost Tottenham about £30m. He has a term until 2023.
It is noted that Mourinho has been employed to ensure Tottenham wins trophies. The Londoners are close to doing that – they will play Manchester City in the League Cup final in April.
Levy also does not rule out that Tottenham could repeat the route of Manchester United, with whom Mourinho took the Europa League. However, the 58-year-old needs to deliver results in the short term as well.
Tottenham is ninth in the EPL after 23 games.
