Patson Daka has completed his move from Red Bull Salzburg to Leicester City for a transfer fee in the region of around £23m. He has signed a five-year deal with the club. The Zambian was in red hot form last season scoring 34 goals in 42 appearances for the club in all competitions. Brendan Rodgers has been on the search for a striker with Odsonne Edouard also being linked.

“I’m so, so excited to join this great, historic club. It has been my dream and I’m so happy and looking forward to what’s coming next,” Patson Daka said after completing his move to Leicester City. “I have followed Leicester from the time they won the league. I feel it is the perfect place for me because it’s a team that fights for titles. I know it’s not going to be easy, but I feel ready to face this new challenge. I will give my best for the club each and every day, and I look forward to seeing the Leicester City fans inside the stadium soon.”

Red Bull Salzburg has had a number of imports into the Premier League over the last few years. He will join the list of ex-Red Bull Salzburg players like Sadio Mane, Naby Keita, and Takumi Minamino. he partnered Erling Haaland up top for Salzburg at the beginning of the 2019/20 season. Daka scored 27 goals in 28 games helping Salzburg to their eighth consecutive titles.
