Pep Guardiola, the head coach of Manchester City, has spoken out against players leaving the squad for national teams if they could return to England after a 10-day quarantine.

Similar sentiments had previously been shared by Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel.

“We’ll talk about it again next week. I believe it is pointless for players to travel to the national team and then return to sit in isolation for ten days. “It doesn’t make any sense,” the coach told ESPN.

“We’ve been working hard, and after the national team matches, six, seven, eight, or nine players might be unable to play for ten days. It’s incomprehensible. They would not travel [to the national teams in such a manner].
