Pep Guardiola revealed that he could leave Manchester City when his contract expires in 2023. Guardiola joined Man City in 2016 and has won three Premier League titles during his time here. He believes he might have to take a break after seven years. He also wold like to manage a national team after so many years managing clubs.
“Next step will be a national team if there is a possibility,” manchester city boss Pep Guardiola said. “After seven years on this team, I think I’m going to have a stop. I’m going to have to take a break, see what we’ve done. And in the process, I would like to coach a South American (team), European, playing a Copa America, I want to have that experience.”
Guardiola had taken a break for a year after leaving his first club Barcelona back in 2012. He spent for years at Barcelona before joining Bayern Munich in 2013. the news that he could leave comes the same day when Man City’s pursuit of Harry Kane came to an end. The England captain confirmed on social media that he would be staying at Tottenham for another season.
“It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I’ve had in the last few weeks.” Kane posted on Twitter. “I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100 percent focused on helping the team achieve success.”
