According to reports from the Spanish publication OkDiario, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has disclosed that Eden Hazard is his dream transfer target.
Hazard transferred to Madrid for £ 130 million, but several injury issues and a loss of form meant that for the man who had previously taken the Premier League by storm, things just did not work out. Guardiola has long been an admirer of Hazard, with many comparing his compatriot, Man City captain Kevin De Bruyne, to the Belgian style of play.
Last year, the Man City manager said of Hazard in an interview with the Daily Express: “He’s not a top player, he’s another level above that. What we have seen in England… it’s world-class. The whole world knows that you need an adaptation time.”
Manchester City dropped below the high expectations they set themselves two seasons ago, but the situation is very retrievable as they still sit with two games in hand, seven points off the top.
