Due to his behavior away from the pitch, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly losing patience with full-back Benjamin Mendy.
According to Sam Lee of Target, after showing up late for a recovery session, the full-back was “banned from the first-team set up for a week”
This is not the first time Guardiola has disciplined Mendy, and according to the paper, the Manchester City manager is becoming increasingly irritated by the Frenchman despite his relevance to the squad.
Guardiola talked frankly about Mendy coming back late for a treatment session, as demonstrated by Objective:
Due to his frequent social media posts, Mendy is an animated, charismatic character who has become popular with fans. After breaking his anterior cruciate ligament, the Frenchman missed much of last season, but he also communicated with fans as he assisted his team from the sidelines.
At the end of last season, he returned to fitness and explained why City had invested so heavily in taking him to Monaco’s Etihad Stadium. He is a versatile full-back who can race in crosses down the left side and shoot.
