Just over a week before returning to Ligue 1 action, Paris Saint-Germain has confirmed three positive coronavirus cases in their camp.

Paris Saint-Germain reported that three players positively screened COVID-19 before returning to action for Ligue 1 next week.

The 2019-20 Champions League finalists are scheduled to start their domestic defense title at Lens on September 10, pushing the fixture back at PSG’s request.

However, a trio of players contracted coronavirus ahead of that match, which will presumably be postponed if a fourth positive test returns.

A statement by PSG on Wednesday read: “After a Sars CoV2 test, three PSG players have been confirmed positive and have undergone the appropriate health protocols. We’ll continue to monitor all players and personnel over the next few days.”
