Raheem Sterling will struggle to sleep after his big miss against Lyon in Champions League quarter-finals, says Goal, according to Gary Lineker.
“He looked like he was in the right position to hit it, so he will not sleep very well tonight, Raheem Sterling,” Lineker said.
“I ‘m asking you why he skipped it: because it was too hard for him to hit it. If you’re in that place where you think you have an open goal, the only way you can miss it is to get your foot through it and if there’s a little bobble there’s a risk it’s going to go over the bar. It’s almost like he’s trying to hit it with a bit of force and obviously, the ball got some lift, a little bobble. Yet you can’t miss this if you take off the weight.”
