Ralf Rangnick and AC Milan have both agreed on the German becoming the new manager of the club, a report says.

As reported by Tuttosport on Wednesday (via MilanLive), confirmations are now also coming from sources in Germany close to Rangnick saying that the problems that emerged between February and March – due to the COVID-19 pandemic – were resolved and the parties reached an agreement.

Nevertheless, they will have to wait a little longer for everything to be official as the signature and announcement will only arrive in August once the Rossoneri season is over, so as not to disturb Stefano Pioli and Paolo Maldini.

A meeting between the 61-year-old Gordon Singer, chief of the Elliott Management Corporation, is still on the agenda. This looked like it would happen last week, and probably will happen later this month instead.

However, Rangnick ‘s role has yet to be defined: Elliott would like him primarily as the head coach on the bench, while Rangnick would like to devote himself to the entire team building, entrusting the coaching job to someone else.

Confirmations have also arrived on the summer window budget: €75million plus 50 percent of future sales.
