Allegri has been in touch with the club since March, according to Romano, and is willing to return if Zinedine Zidane leaves Madrid this summer. There are three names on the shortlist, including the new Castilla boss and club hero Raul, according to Romano.

Romano claims that club president Florentino Perez approached him three years ago about signing Allegri, but he was already in talks with Juventus. Nothing has been formally signed or agreed. Although this is based on Zidane finally leaving.

In recent months, Allegri has been linked with a return to Serie A. Many clubs are being named as potential destinations for the former Bianconeri boss. Before Mauricio Pochettino was hired as Thomas Tuchel’s replacement. The tactician was named as a contender for the Paris Saint-Germain position.

Fabrizio Romano, on the other hand, says Allegri is interested in the Real Madrid manager’s job. He has been in “direct touch” with the Spanish giants “since March.”

According to sources, Zidane had already informed the players that he would be leaving the club. He has since stated that he has not informed the players of his Real Madrid future.
