Real Madrid needs to see Jadon Sancho join their arsenal of players attacking. Manchester United was closely linked to the Borussia Dortmund and England winger who scored 17 goals from the Bundesliga and produced 17 goals this season.
Chelsea was also linked to the 20-year-old, who was valued at £100 m but, according to Spanish newspaper AS, Real Madrid ‘s plan relies on other clubs deciding not to spend huge money on him.
Real is unlikely to have the funds available this summer and after being devastated by the coronavirus pandemic an extra year would enable them to collect funds.
Currently, manager Zinedine Zidane has Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, Asensio, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr, and Luka Jovic at his disposal, to name a few, but Sancho is on the radar as the Real attack is likely to overhaul.
Sancho scored his first hat-trick in his career in Dortmund ‘s 6-1 win over Paderborn on the weekend when all eyes were once again on the Bundesliga as the only professional league in action. Only Cristiano Ronaldo, Eden Hazard, Lionel Messi, and Luis Suarez managed to record more than fifteen goals and assists in a single season and Bundesliga commentator Kevin Hatchard told talkSPORT. Dortmund’s side is hoping to keep Sancho for another season having finally produced a team capable of challenging Bayern Munich for the title.
It seems they won’t sell unless they meet their £100m-plus valuation IN FULL with the German media suggesting the club is happy to take their time.
“Ideally, they would like to hold Jadon Sancho for another season and have a good time winning the title next season, and they feel that maybe COVID-19 ‘s impact would help them do that. I think if Manchester United needs him, and they do, they will have to match the Dortmund price this summer. He’s one of the world’s best young players and Dortmund is in no rush to sell him. Manchester United has a great deal to do to make its push,” he added.
