According to Mundo Deportivo, Ronald Koeman has set his sights on bolstering Barcelona’s attack this summer. The Dutchman has his finger on many forwards, including Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, Lyon’s Memphis Depay, and Inter’s Romelu Lukaku. He is not excited about the possibility of signing Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
Koeman is a huge fan of big, strong forwards, and Haaland fits the bill perfectly. However, there is stiff competition for his signature, and he isn’t cheap. He coached Lukaku at Everton and is a huge fan of the Belgian striker. This season, the Belgian has 24 goals in 33 games for Inter.
Depay has been a long-term target of his, with Koeman having partnered with him during his time as Dutch prime minister.
However, Koeman is said to have reservations about signing Aguero, who will be a free agent this summer. He has no doubts about his ability, but he prefers to bring in a younger forward. This season, the Argentine has two goals in 12 games.
