Juventus’ hopes of winning Serie A for the tenth time in a row are fading, but Fernando Santos claims Cristiano Ronaldo is upbeat.
According to Fernando Santos, Portugal’s head coach, Cristiano Ronaldo is untouched by Juventus’ recent setbacks. Ronaldo, who has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Manchester United, has since joined Portugal’s World Cup qualifying squad for games against Azerbaijan, Serbia, and Luxembourg.
Santos says he is unconcerned with his 36-year-old self-assurance.
“We’ve always been close, very good friends, we don’t even have a coach-player relationship,” Santos said at a beIN Sports media conference.
“Ronaldo always reflects high quality; he still displays great enthusiasm and excitement when he’s with the team. He’s an important player, maybe the best in the world. I don’t believe he has any emotional issues at the moment.”
