Instead of a football match, Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo said he likes watching boxing or the UFC.
Following his exploits for Real Madrid, Manchester United, Juve, and Portugal, Ronaldo is one of football’s all-time greats.
Madrid’s record goalscorer is the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, while five Champions League titles, three Premier League championships, Euro 2016 glory, two Serie A crowns and as many La Liga triumphs to go with various other silverware are his honors.
But Ronaldo has revealed his passion for action sports when it comes to watching tv.
“Playing football is my passion, but I prefer watching other sports on TV. Between watching a football match or a boxing or UFC fight, I choose boxing or UFC.”
Ronaldo, who had previously met UFC star Conor McGregor, added: ‘A coach boxed with me while I was at Manchester United.
“I think practicing boxing is useful for football because it sharpens your senses and you learn to move.”
Ronaldo, who is 35, has shown no signs of slowing down in 2020.
In Sunday’s 3-1 Serie A victory over Genoa, Ronaldo celebrated his 100th Juventus appearance with a brace.
Not only did Ronaldo make his 100th Juve debut, but he also became the first player this century to achieve 400 wins in the top five leagues in Europe.
Besides, since joining Juve in 2018, Ronaldo, who has netted 77 times, has achieved 31 goals for the calendar year, making him the third Bianconeri player to cross this plateau in the top flight, and the first since Omar Sivori in 1961.
