It’s been coming for several days but Sandro Tonali is now officially a Milan player after the medical tests that took place earlier today. The midfielder has signed a five-year club contract, locked up till 2025.
As stated earlier today, the 20-year-old had undergone the medical / fitness tests and signed his contract at Casa Milan after being friendly with Milan-Vicenza. The Rossoneri have posted on their website the long-awaited announcement of the contract.
“AC Milan is pleased to announce the signing of the Brescia Calcio midfielder Sandro Tonali on loan with the option of making the contract permanent. The player will wear the 8 jersey number,’ read the text.
For a one-year loan, spread over two years, the Rossoneri will pay €10 m and the buy-out option is set at €15 m. Besides that, there are also €10 m in incentives, which means the overall expenditure could exceed €35 m.
Last season the midfielder played 35 games for Brescia and in his first Serie A season, he quickly made a name for himself. So it wasn’t exactly a surprise that a lot of teams were interested in him, but luckily Milan won the race.
