Sheffield United’s head coach, Chris Wilder, has resigned.

The decision was reached by mutual consent, according to a post on the club’s official website.

In May of 2016, Wilder took over the squad. Before Sheffield United’s promotion to the EPL in 2019, he led the club to the Championship from League One (the third-highest division).

The club finished 9th in the Premier League in the 2019/20 season but is struggling in the current campaign, finishing last with 14 points after 28 games.
