In the first match of the 31st round of the German Football Championship, young Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo, who arrived from Dinamo Zagreb on RB Leipzig earlier this year, scored both goals for his team in a 2-0 (2-0) away win against Hoffenheim.
Olmo scored in the 9th and 11th minutes, at the very opening of the match. He perfectly calmed Mukiele ‘s pass with his left foot in the first goal and then hit the helpless Baumann ‘s bottom-left corner on the home team goal with his right foot about 10 meters. Only two minutes later Olmo practically reached the same spot at the same angle, this time after Sabitzer headed down the ball to him.
Olmo played for RB Leipzig until the 78th minute while Croatian national team striker Andrej Kramarić played for Hoffenheim in the second half.
RB Leipzig consolidated its third place in the standings with three new points, now with 62 points, one less in the game than Borussia Dortmund and six more than Borussia Mönchengladbach’s fourth, while Hoffenheim remained 7th with 43 points.
Bayern is at the top, with 70 points.
