Linking up with the Red Devils, the Mexican striker said he was happy at his new club at the moment. Raul Jimenez maintained in the wake of Manchester United ties that he was “really content” at Wolves. Jimenez, 29, enjoys another productive season, scoring 24 Wolves goals in 47 games that contribute to obvious United interest. But at the Molineux, where he first arrived on loan from Benfica in 2018, the Mexico international said he was glad.

Jimenez said, via the club’s website: “It feels good. It’s been unbelievable for two years here. I think we’ve made that connection from the start since my transfer here. I am happy to be here.”

Jimenez has kept the exit door open in recent months, so it would be hard to dismiss any interest from Barcelona or Real Madrid. He also spoke of his pride in engaging with the domestic rivals of Wolves, with his price tag estimated to have risen to approximately £ 90 million ($111 m).

The Mexican is currently enjoying being swept along for the ride, and there is no definite call for his future given yet again while addressing the speculation he is creating with Telemundo.

Last month Jimenez said: “First of all, I am satisfied with the Wolves here. I’m in a position where we connected beautifully from the very first moment. I am no stranger to all those stories, a new team comes out each day a new bid comes out every day. I don’t know how many millions. It’s nice to know they ‘re talking about you, but what I need to do to make it happen is to keep on doing my job with the Wolves here.”

In the Premier League, Jimenez helped Wolves sit sixth, drawing attention from elsewhere as well as his teammate Adama Traore.

Traore, who has scored four goals in the league this season, applauded the forward and provided nine assists.

Jimenez said: “Every striker wants his conditions to be a teammate. He can cross from anywhere, you know he’s going to be on the final line and he’s going to cross, so you’ve got to be there to score at the right time. During the week, we work on it. Before the games, or during the training sessions, we talk to each other, and we know where we’re going to be, his crossing, and where I’m going to pass. It’s not a coincidence, it is something for which we prepare and work.”
