Third-placed Inter Milan scored twice in the last six minutes through Stefan De Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni to steal a 2-1 victory in Serie A at Parma on Sunday amid a subdued performance.
The scarcely deserved win left Inter behind leader Juventus with eight points, and four second-placed Lazio adrift with 10 games to play each.
Parma had the lead and several great chances but in the last five minutes of the match they messed it all up.
In the 15th minute, Gervinho scored 1-0 and then Parma had some more fantastic chances. It was not the Danish striker Andreas Cornelius’ evening, though, that missed three goals. In the 29th minute, when he came out alone before Samir Handanović, he had the best opportunity, but he transferred the entire goal.
Inter equalized through Stefan de Vri in the 83rd minute and only a minute later the host was left with a lesser player after Juraj Kucka was sent off. In the 86th minute, the visitors took advantage of the game, when Alessandro Bastoni scored for Inter’s victory.
