Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly agreed a £15 m contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign the full-back Matt Doherty.
It is suspected that Jose Mourinho has appointed the 28-year-old as the top target in the search for replacements for Serge Aurier, whose future has been questioned in north London in recent weeks.
Doherty has been with Wolves for the last 10 years helping them win promotion from League One to the Premier League, but the Daily Mail says he’s on the verge of joining Spurs now.
The move is expected to be officially announced shortly, priced at an estimated £ 15 m plus add-ons.
The Republic of Ireland International will become Tottenham’s third summer signing after Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Hart and his arrival are expected to pave the way for Aurier to leave.
Doherty scored seven goals for Wolves in 50 games last season and leaves the club with more than 300 first-team outings to her name.
