With a 1-0 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage, Tottenham Hotspur climbed within three points of the top four. Spurs needed an own goal from Tosin Adarabioyo to escape West London with a victory, though Fulham put in another strong performance but was left empty-handed at Craven Cottage.

Jose Mourinho’s side took the lead on 19 minutes when Heung-Min Son fed Dele Alli, whose flicked finish was deflected into the net by Tosin. Spurs dominated the remainder of the first half and had opportunities to extend their advantage, but Harry Kane and Son both failed to capitalize.

Fulham, on the other hand, took command of the game at halftime, dominating possession and forcing Mourinho to make a series of tactical changes to maintain the lead. They thought they had equalized, but VAR overturned Maja’s goal, and Spurs went on to win a game they hardly deserved.

Fulham may have climbed out of the relegation zone with three victories, but their first loss in six league games leaves them three points behind Newcastle United and three points behind Brighton & Hove Albion.

Scott Parker’s side will play at Anfield on Sunday, while Tottenham will play Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend in their second London derby in a week.
