Tottenham is interested in signing Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez for this season.

As per Defensa Central, the player has dropped the pecking order at Bernabeu and he will have to move on if he wants to play regular first-team football.

The Premier League side is keen on him and they’re willing to pay €16 m ( £ 14.6 m) for the services provided to the 29-year-old. It’ll be fascinating to see if Real Madrid can consider the bid when it’s presented. Vazquez isn’t and wouldn’t be the main figure to them.

What a pleasure to see the club cashing in on him this summer.

Rodrygo and Asensio’s likes are all in pecking order ahead of him and Vazquez has only made 10 starts for Los Blancos this season. At Spurs, he’ll get to play more often. On the right-hand side, Jose Mourinho wants a winger and he could be perfect. Even he can play as both a midfielder to the right and a back to the right.

Vazquez is experienced, at the height of his career at present. He should be able to adjust rapidly and affect instantly.

The study also adds that the player is not pressing for a step away and so it seems that Spurs will need to persuade him of a transfer.
