Chelsea was looking to add a striker to their squad during the summer transfer window. Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund is one of the Blues’ goals.
The London club, however, is mindful that they will face competition in their effort to sign the Norwegian and is thus exploring alternate alternatives.
According to The Telegraph, one of them is Inter striker Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian has previously played for Chelsea from 2011 to 2014, with the majority of the time spent on loan.
In 26 Serie A games this season, Lukaku has 19 goals and eight assists.
