Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Juventus is closing in on the signing of FC Dallas’ American defender Bryan Reynolds.

The full-back is expected to be on loan at Benevento for the first six months of his spell in Italy, where he will complete the season as the Bianconeri are unable to register an additional non-EU player for the current season.

As a result, the 19-year-old will initially sign a loan agreement with a duty to purchase worth $7 million before joining the Bianconeri for the Campania side.

Roma had previously registered their interest in Reynolds, but the deal seems to have turned in favor of Juventus.

Juventus has strengthened its bid for Bryan Reynolds to Dallas FC and will transfer the defender to Benevento for six months, Sky Sport Italia says.

According to transfer experts, Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano of the Italian television station, a new proposal worth EUR 7 million has been made.

It would be a loan with a purchasing commitment, ensuring that the operation’s expense would be spread out.

Juventus are fighting Club Brugge and Roma for the signature of Reynolds, but in January they were unable to put in Turin.

That is because all of their non-EU slots in the squad have already been filled by the Bianconeri.
