Sam Allardyce has returned to Premier League management for the first time in over two years, with the former England boss taking over at West Brom.

West Brom appointed Sam Allardyce as their new head coach, just hours after Slaven Bilic’s sacking.

Allardyce, whose greatest success as a manager occurred at Bolton between 1999 and 2007, reached an 18-month arrangement on board with his long-time assistant, Sammy Lee.

Sunday’s West Midlands derby against Aston Villa will be his first game in charge of his eighth club in the Premier League.
