Zlatan Ibrahimovic said after achieving 100 games for Milan that he ‘had never had any competition.’
Paolo Maldini, having played 100 games during two terms at the Diavolo, presented the Swede with a club award, and the 38-year-old jokingly dedicated the achievement to his teammates.
“I couldn’t do it without you thanks to my teammates,” Zlatan said in a video posted on the club’s official Twitter account: “Thankfully I’m not playing.”
He sent a letter to the fans: “Hi everybody, thank you for all your congratulatory messages about my 100th game in Rossoneri colors. Playing for Milan is a great pleasure and I will be playing even more games. My good wishes to you all.’
