Odisha FC has completed the signing of Raynier Fernandes on loan from Mumbai City FC. It is the sixth signing of the summer for Odisha FC as they look to rebuild their squad under coach Josep Gombau. Fernandez made 76 appearances for Mumbai City FC including an important part in their Hero Indian Super League 2020-21 title win. He also has five international caps for India.

“We are very happy that Raynier has decided to join us this season. The club would like to welcome him and wish him the best for the upcoming season,” Odisha FC said in a statement after announcing the signing of Raynier Fernandes.

In other news, Chennaiyin FC has completed the signing of Vafa Hakhamaneshi for the 2022/23 season. Vafa has previously played in Iran’s top tier and the Persian Gulf Pro League. He made 59 appearances for teams like Tractor FC, Sanat Naft, and Naft Tehran and has made 60 appearances in the second-tier for Khooneh Be Khooneh and Fajr Sepasi. The signing was the second international transfer after the signing of Fallou Diagne.
