Mariam Mahmood revealed that West Brom has a special place in her heart. Mahmood came through the West Brom Regional Talent Club and progressed to the senior squad last season under Jenny Sugarman. The striker is a fan favorite and was part of the kit launch for the upcoming season. She played in the historic 2-0 win over Derby, the first game to be held at the Hawthorns.
“It feels like I’ve been here ages. I’ve been here since I was in the U14s and there is nothing I regret about coming here. It was the first academy side that I was at and I’m really happy here,” West Brom striker Mariam Mahmood said. “This club has definitely got a special place in my heart. I’ve developed here as a person and a player, and now I am on the first team. I just want to keep getting better and score some more goals. I want to get fitter, sharper and I want to continue to improve my decision-making, but I think that will come with age as well, as I’m still quite young.”
