Series A giants AC Milan intend to make Real Madrid’s season-long loan deal with Brahim Diaz into a permanent change in 2021.
This season, the Spanish U21 international quickly settled on Stefano Pioli’s side, with six league appearances and a goal already to his credit.
His present contract with the Italians sees him returning to Madrid at the end of the 2020/21 season, but they intend to discuss a deal in the coming months, according to Milan Sporting Director Frederic Massara.
“In Milan, Brahim is doing very well, and we are happy and satisfied with him,” he told DAZN in an interview published by Diario AS.
“We can offer him a lot for his future, and in the coming months we will speak with Real Madrid.”
The future of Diaz at San Siro could theoretically rely on Turkish international Hakan Calhanoglu’s future, with his contract scheduled to expire in July 2021 at the club.
Real Madrid is open to a deal for a player who has seen his first-team chances drop at the Santiago Bernabeu, with an asking price of about € 25 million, if Milan pushes on with its interest in Diaz.
