An Arsenal injury concern was avoided when on international service.

On-loan midfielder Martin Odegaard captained Norway for the first time in Wednesday night’s World Cup qualifier against Gibraltar.

However, his night was cut short at halftime, which would be a big worry for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta ahead of next week’s Premier League game against Liverpool and the Europa League quarter-final against Slavia Praha.

Stale Solbakken, Norway’s national team boss, has confirmed that Odegaard has not suffered a significant injury and expects to get him back against Turkey on Saturday.

This is fantastic news for Arsenal, especially after Arteta praised the midfielder’s success against West Ham United.

“I think he had an amazing success, he was very clever in the way he read the game, influenced the game, and again he showed how much he wants to succeed,” Arteta said.

The focus has already shifted to the summer transfer industry.

Arsenal is supposed to be among the busier clubs as Mikel Arteta continues to develop his team.

If the season is over, the Gunners can look to make signings at goalkeeper, right back, center back, left-back, central defensive midfield, central midfield, central offensive midfield, and center forward.
