Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s head coach, has summed up his team’s 3-1 victory over Leicester City in round 26 of the English Premier League.
“Given the level of opposition, the players deserved credit for their success today. I am incredibly proud of them,” Arteta told the BBC.
“I was concerned about the tight schedule before this match. But don’t bring up the topic of exhaustion. If Leicester advances, they will become one of the league’s most dangerous teams. We replied admirably to that conceded goal, and the team appeared mature. We did a great job.”
“Pepe is a very steady player, which is exactly what we want from him. He creates opportunities for me, and I am very pleased with him. We’re at the bottom of the table, which is inappropriate. We have a lot of work to do. The only way to do this is to triumph.”
