Marca reports that Barcelona has written off 12 players they will seek to sell or trade-in the next transfer window at the end, so far for the Catalan club, of a very disappointing season.
Rakitic, Neto, Nelson Semedo, Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo, Arturo Vidal, Ousmane Dembele, Martin Braithwaite, Carles Alena, Rafinha, Jean-Clair Todibo and Philippe Coutinho are included in the list.
The Spanish newspaper adds that it is not certain that anyone will leave the ranks of the Catalan giant, particularly Dembele and Coutinho, two of the three most expensive acquisitions of Barcelona in history. The explanation is in the high salaries of the Frenchman and the Brazilian.
Coutinho receives about 11 million euros per season, and Dembele, the world champion with France in 2018, a million more than Coutinho.
Coutinho is currently on loan at Bayern, however, it is not clear that the Bavarians will buy him, so Barcelona is in trouble again.
Dembele, on the other hand, has been injured all season, and in addition to these issues, the Catalans are sick of unprofessional behavior off the field, which is why the club decides to get rid of him.
