Liverpool has been told to increase their offer for Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
Thiago has expressed a desire to leave the Allianz Arena and take on a new challenge with less than one year left on his contract.
Although the Premier League champions are linked to a £30 m bid, Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has suggested that the German outfit will not make the Spaniard such a make.
Speaking at Leroy Sane’s unveiling, Rummenigge said: “He wants to leave this summer but I have to say frankly, I have to laugh at the fees that circulate in the newspapers. We at Bayern Munich are not going to have a summer offer. We’ll consider selling only if the numbers are right.”
In the last seven years, Thiago has been at Bayern making a total of 226 appearances in all competitions.
