L’Équipe reports that Ligue 1 side Bordeaux could receive a surprising infusion of funds at the end of this transfer window because of a 20 percent sell-on clause placed on French central defender Jules Koundé in their contract with Seville.
Last summer, Les Girondins sold the 21-year-old to the La Liga club for €25 m and included this clause, but it has an upper contract limit of €45 m.
This means that they will gain EUR 9 m overall. The outlet notes that Manchester City reportedly made an offer for Koundé for EUR 70 million, but does not provide any more information on the likelihood of sales taking place.
