Manchester United is the best team in the world and will succeed in the Champions League, says Brandon Williams, who plays at full-back.
The Red Devils drew 1-1 with West Ham at Old Trafford on Tuesday to climb into the third position in the table, over Chelsea on goal difference and a point ahead of Leicester City.
United Leicester head-on Premier League ‘s final day on Sunday knowing a draw would be enough to guarantee a top-four finish.
Williams says they’ll head to the King Power Stadium full of confidence as they look to return to Europe’s top table in 2020-21.
“We wanted the victory [against West Ham], of course, but we got a result which puts us in the place we wanted to be in, inside the top four,” he told MUTV.
“We have to go there now [to Leicester] with full trust that we’re going to compete because we’re the biggest team in the world and we need to play where this club wants to be playing, which is the Champions League. We’ve managed to get to where we are now and we’re in the place we need to protect, so we’re going there with total faith that we’re going to play football in the Champions League. We ‘re going to win there and not get any pressure going there. Just do what we need to do.”
