Genoa turned on the style for their Serie A opener, taking four goals past Crotone, including the debutants Davide Zappacosta and Marko Pjaca.
Mattia Destro broke the deadlock, drowning his year-long Series A goal in front of Goran Pandev’s delightful chip.

The Squali has been brought back into it by Emmanuel Riviere but newcomers to Grifone have taken center stage.

Zappacosta fired in a daisy-cutter and Pjaca found the net off the inside of the far post just minutes into his debut at Marassi.

Sassuolo dominated this match to a large degree, but he needed a Medhi Bourabia free-kick to scrap a point after Giovanni Simeone’s header for Cagliari.

Cagliari broke the deadlock as Zappa won back the midfield ball, and Joao Pedro floated in a cross for Simeone’s diving header, peeling at the back post away from the defenders.

Sassuolo earned a deserved equalizer from substitute Bourabia with a superb free-kick, who curled it up and over the wall, dipping into the near-top corner.
