A place at the Madrid club has been granted to former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas. The Spaniard took up the position of assistant general manager of the Real Madrid Base.
“Iker Casillas is a legend of Real Madrid who embodies our club’s values and is the best goalkeeper in our history,” the club’s official statement claims.
“Real Madrid is proud to welcome one of its great captains to the walls of their home.”
Casillas is a pupil of the Capital Club and played from 1998 to 2015 before transferring to Porto for the senior team.
