A statement has been issued by the Football Association of England regarding Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani’s Instagram post where the Uruguayan used the word ‘n*******.
“On Thursday, November 29, 2020, Edinson Cavani was charged with breaching FA rules in connection with a social media post,” the statement said.
“The comment posted on the Instagram page of the Manchester United player was offensive, inappropriate, and detrimental to football. Furthermore, the comment is alleged to constitute.
“By including an explicit or implicit reference to skin color, race, ethnicity, “aggravated misconduct.”
Up until Monday, January 4, 2021, the attacker can appeal against the charge.
