Rio Ferdinand has reminded Man Utd that he has instructed them to go back to April to sign the arsenal centerpiece Thomas Partey. Partey had a perfect game as the Gunners ran out 1-0 wins against the Red Devils at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Ghanaian was signed on the deadline day when he transferred to the Emirate of Atletico Madrid after triggering his €45 million release clause.
And in the aftermath of Arsenal’s victory over Man truncated over the weekend, Ferdinand decided to make his suggestion earlier this year.
Speaking on his YouTube channel FIVE, Ferdinand said, “Partey, I said back in April … before that, when I was talking about who Man United was supposed to buy – that was my person.”
Earlier this year, Ferdinand said, “I may be going to get Partey from Atletico Madrid or Ndidi from Leicester.”
On Arsenal’s success in their 1-0 victory over Man Utd, Ferdinand added: “You’ve got to give Arteta huge credit for the way his team set up.
